It's a small (nearly pure) shellscript offering both Web interface and command line capability.So, you can use it in crontab or in other scripts, and also extract/compress via browser.It can handle zip, tar, tgz (tar.gz), tbz2 (tar.bz2) format.
Installation:
- For using it on PowWeb servers:
If you have or install extratools automatic installer, just click on Install/Update minitar.cgi.(This is the recommended method for novice users.)
- To install manually;
No editing is required (unless you want to use default parameter feature).Just upload/copy the file to a well protected directory as minitar.cgi and set permission to 700 (using WebFTP/site tool/FTP/File manager...), and it's ready to go.Download link:

Limitation:
You cannot use special characters in parameters with Web interface.Allowed chars: 0-9 a-z A-Z - _ . * /With command line interface, there is no limitation imposed by this script.It's under testing. Some commandline options are not implemented.Although I checked, it may still have serious bug.
Future plan:
- Directory browsing feature to allow selecting items
- Better error handling
- Polish up code arround 'for' loop and 'while' loop
- Encode and escape html special chars in the output
But if you really want more features, you should use OcamlEditor.
This script is created out of MiniSqlDump.Basically, it's a file compression/extraction part of MiniSqlDump,modified somewhat to offer convenience.
